Jumio Renews Security Partnership with Monzo

Jumio Renews Security Partnership with Monzo

Jumio has renewed its award-winning partnership with Monzo. The two parties first teamed up back in 2017, with Jumio providing mobile onboarding and identity verification services for the digital bank based in the UK. The new multi-year agreement will solidify that relationship for the foreseeable future.

“As Monzo continues to grow, we know that Jumio will scale with our business, helping Monzo create the best-possible experience for our banking customers while fighting financial crime,” said Natasha Vernier, the Head of Financial Crime at Monzo.

“Digital transformation is imperative for emerging banks seeking to keep up with the needs of consumers,” added Jumio EMEA Sales VP Simon Winchester.

The news doesn’t come as much of a surprise given the success of the partnership over the past two years. Jumio and Monzo received a pair of gold medals at the 2018 UK Digital Experience Awards, where they were jointly recognized for creating a high quality user experience for Monzo’s nearly 2 million customers.

Despite that success, Monzo tested other Know Your Customer solutions before making the decision to return to Jumio. However, Monzo obviously concluded that Jumio offered the best platform, citing their mutual history, as well as Jumio’s accuracy and Anti-Money Laundering compliance record, as key factors in their search.
