Jumio Wins Gold in 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards

March 1, 2018

Jumio Wins Gold in 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards Jumio‘s Netverify mobile identity verification solution has been named a Gold Winner in the 2018 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards. The solution took the top spot in the category of Fraud Prevention.

The recognition comes soon after Jumio was named a finalist in the SC Media Awards, in the category of Best Authentication Technology, with winners for that competition to be announced at a gala event in San Francisco on April 17th.

The plaudits appear to reflect a broader enthusiasm for Jumio’s mobile identity solution, which uses facial recognition and document reading to confirm the identities of end users, all via standard smartphone cameras. In its recent Q4 update, Jumio said that its annual recurring revenues had jumped 96 percent year-over-year, while its sales grew by a whopping 176 percent over that same period – all of which testifies to a growing appetite for automated and reliable mobile identity verification.

In a statement announcing the Cybersecurity Excellence Award win, Jumio added that its platform had recently hit the milestone of verifying more than 100 million identities. Offering his own commentary on the industry recognition, Jumio CEO Stephen Stuut pointed to the growing need for a solution like Netverify: “In today’s digital landscape, things we couldn’t have imagined even ten years ago can now be done online with a push of button or through an app,” he said, adding that this has come with a dramatic increase in fraud. Stuut asserted that his team is “honored to be recognized as the top technology in fraud protection” in this year’s Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
