TECH5 has secured a Certificate of Conformity with the United Kingdom Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF), marking compliance with the standards set forth by the framework. This certification permits TECH5’s T5-AirSnap solutions, which offer contactless face and fingerprint capture, to be engaged by official Identity Service Providers (IDSPs) operating within the Framework.
The DIATF was established to promote a digital identity market in the UK, facilitating a reliable way for individuals to prove their identity or other attributes digitally. The framework outlines the rules governing digital identities, aiming to create a process comparable in trust to using traditional documents like passports or bank statements.
Andy Gray, TECH5’s VP of Sales and Business Development for Europe, highlighted the significance of this market, stating, “The UK is one of the key markets for us.” The certification aligns with TECH5’s goals of expanding its network of partners and customer base in the UK.
The T5-AirSnap solution is known for its touchless biometric technology, providing a user-friendly and secure option for identity verification. This technology, now backed by the DIATF certification, positions TECH5’s solutions as compliant with the UK’s digital identity standards, thus potentially appealing to IDSPs looking for certified solutions.
Furthermore, the T5-AirSnap Finger solution recently achieved PAD (Presentation Attack Detection) Level 1 certification, attesting to its ability to detect presentation attacks in biometric systems, enhancing the security of the digital identity verification process. T5-AirSnap Finger is designed to capture fingerprints using a standard smartphone camera.
With the DIATF certification, TECH5 has expanded its offerings in alignment with the UK’s digital identity ecosystem, potentially paving the way for further collaborations with IDSPs and other stakeholders in the region.
