Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has implemented an updated fee structure for its identity document services, advancing the organization’s digital transformation efforts. The new pricing applies to the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and related documentation, introducing a three-tier service model that builds upon NADRA’s recent modernization of its identity systems.
Under the new structure, NICOP renewals are available at three service levels: normal processing at AED 75, urgent service at AED 110, and executive processing at AED 150. The tiered approach supports NADRA’s broader strategy of making identity services more accessible while maintaining operational efficiency.
For NICOP renewal applications, NADRA requires applicants to submit their existing NICOP card along with a copy of their current passport. The authority has established a fixed fee of AED 40 for Family Registration Certificates (FRC), which requires the presence of a blood relative with a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and any minors under 18 years of age. Applications involving deceased family members must have the deceased individual’s CNIC marked with ‘CD’ before submission.
Moving away from traditional processing methods, NADRA has fully digitized its application processes through the “Pak Identity” web-based system. The digital transformation, which follows the successful launch of NADRA’s mobile registration app, now handles all NICOP, Pakistan Origin Card (POC), and FRC applications. The system requires all applications to be submitted through NADRA’s official portal at id.nadra.gov.pk, as these services have been completely removed from consular offices.
The modernization initiative is part of NADRA’s broader efforts to enhance Pakistan’s digital identity infrastructure, which has become increasingly integral to Pakistani society. The transition to digital services marks a significant advancement in NADRA’s mission to provide efficient and secure identity document processing for Pakistani citizens both domestic and abroad.
