Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a home delivery biker service for Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) in Sindh province, marking the latest advancement in the organization’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. The initiative follows NADRA’s recent modernization of its identity document services and fee structure updates.
The new service enables citizens to request CNIC delivery to their doorstep by contacting NADRA’s call center at 7000 or 111-786-100. The initiative specifically targets residents in remote and rural areas who may face challenges accessing NADRA offices, addressing a key accessibility gap in the national ID system.
Along with the biker service launch, NADRA has unveiled an enhanced mobile application that consolidates all identity document services, including ID card applications, Proof of Citizenship (POC), B-forms, and Family Registration Certificates (FRCs). The mobile app replaces the previous Pak-ID website, which is scheduled for discontinuation on January 17, 2025, as part of NADRA’s strategic shift toward mobile-first service delivery.
“Citizens can now complete the entire process for their identity documents from the comfort of their homes using the app,” said Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The minister noted that the application incorporates security features to prevent fraudulent activities and the creation of counterfeit documents, building upon NADRA’s enhanced security measures implemented in early 2025.
NADRA’s service expansion extends beyond the biker service, with plans to establish offices in all tehsils nationwide by March 31, 2025. Currently, only 19 tehsils remain without NADRA offices. The authority has also announced the establishment of three new regional offices in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan, scheduled to begin operations by March 31, 2025. The expansion complements NADRA’s recent introduction of 24/7 passport services in major cities.
The mobile app’s enhanced functionality demonstrates NADRA’s transition to digital service delivery, allowing citizens to access identity document services remotely while maintaining security protocols. The development is part of Pakistan’s broader initiative to integrate digital identity solutions into everyday life, including the recent implementation of biometric identification systems for children and enhanced security features for identity documents.
