The digital identity ecosystem is seeing rapid growth, marked by new partnerships focused on enhancing security, improving user experiences, and reducing fraud risks across industries. Recent collaborations illustrate the increasing demand for scalable and secure digital ID solutions.
One notable partnership involves Okta, the OpenID Foundation, and companies like Microsoft, Ping Identity, and Beyond Identity. They have formed a working group to establish the Interoperability Profile for Secure Identity in the Enterprise (IPSIE), a new open standard designed to address identity security challenges in SaaS applications. IPSIE integrates features such as single sign-on (SSO), lifecycle management, and risk signal sharing, aiming to provide a consistent framework for securing identity across SaaS platforms while reducing the risk of cyberattacks.
In another development, Digidentity and Trinsic have teamed up to create a Software Development Kit (SDK) that streamlines digital identity verification. By combining Digidentity’s secure verification system with Trinsic’s Identity Acceptance Network, the partnership aims to simplify onboarding and verification processes, reducing the need for physical documents. This solution is also designed to comply with global regulations like eIDAS 2.0, targeting the growing global digital ID market, expected to reach 3 billion users by 2025.
Additionally, Liquid, Inc. and DocuSign have partnered to integrate identity verification into DocuSign’s electronic contract platform. Using Liquid’s biometric authentication technology, the solution enhances the security of digital contracts by verifying signers’ identities through government-issued IDs and smartphones.
These partnerships reflect the broader trend toward secure, interoperable digital ID frameworks, with IPSIE expected to support further innovation and collaboration in the space.
