Digital identity and cybersecurity company OneSpan Inc. has appointed Ashish Jain as its new Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Jain will lead OneSpan’s global engineering organization and work with senior leadership to execute the company’s innovation strategy and oversee development of its security and digital agreements products. OneSpan has established itself as a leading provider of digital identity solutions, with its Mobile Security Suite being adopted by major financial institutions worldwide.
Jain brings over 20 years of experience leading product management, engineering, and operations teams at major technology companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Product Officer at Arkose Labs, where he led development of the company’s bot mitigation platform serving Fortune 1000 clients.
Prior to Arkose Labs, Jain was Head of Identity at eBay, where he led the global engineering team responsible for building identity, risk and trust platforms supporting over 180 million customers and third-party developers. His work encompassed customer onboarding, authentication, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, and fraud protection. During his tenure, eBay made significant progress in modernizing its authentication infrastructure, following industry movements toward passwordless solutions and enhanced security measures.
As Vice President of Workspace ONE at VMware, Jain spearheaded development of a patented solution integrating identity and mobile device management, which became a foundational element of Zero Trust Security architecture. The work has become increasingly relevant as organizations worldwide shift toward Zero Trust frameworks to enhance their cybersecurity postures.
Earlier this year, Jain was named to Okta Ventures’ inaugural “The Identity 25” list, recognizing pioneers shaping the future of digital identity security. The recognition acknowledged his long-standing contributions and innovations in the identity security industry. His appointment comes at a crucial time for OneSpan, which has been expanding its digital identity solutions portfolio through partnerships with major financial institutions and banking technology providers.
