“As the leader of our R&D and Global Marketing strategy, [Jean-Philippe Ruault] will guide our technology course and allow us to scale rapidly our identity verification and customer authentication solutions roadmap.” – Richard Kane, CEO, Panini
Payments IT specialist Panini has officially announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe Ruault as its new Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.
In its announcement, Panini said Ruault brought to the company 25 years of “diverse business experience” covering the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM markets, asserting that his career has had a strong focus on the financial services sector. His educational background lies in computer engineering, with Panini highlighting Ruault’s Masters, DESS in Engineering and Chip Design from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France.
In his new role, Ruault will head the company’s international sales, and he will also play an important role in research and development, according to Panini CEO Richard Kane.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jean-Philippe to the executive team: he has a true visionary mindset,” Kane said. “As the leader of our R&D and Global Marketing strategy, he will guide our technology course and allow us to scale rapidly our identity verification and customer authentication solutions roadmap.”
Ruault is the latest high-level executive hire to the company, which welcomed Kane himself to the position of chief executive in January of this year.
The appointment’s announcement arrives as Panini celebrates a strong sales performance in 2020. The company says its revenues for fiscal 2020 grew over eight percent, and that EBITDA came in at 89 percent, with more than 22 percent margin on sales operations. Ruault appears to have arrived at the company at an exciting time, and will be keen to carry that momentum into 2021.
