Precise Biometrics announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with government focused software product development company SPARC. The newly minted partnering will see Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo smart casing solution, which provides smart card and fingerprint authentication to mobile devices, with SPARC’s new Knappsack mobile device management (MDM) platform.
With the addition of Tactivo, Knappsack users will benefit from increased security through multiple layers of authentication when it comes to federal agencies’ mobile applications, while also enjoying streamlined, easy-to-use access to MDM activities.
With the emergence of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) movement, and the increase of mobile usage among government employees, security remains a major priority for agencies that deal with sensitive information.
Speaking to the evolution of current and future authentication mandates, such as FIPS 201 and HSPD-12, Precise Biometrics CEO Thomas Marschall remarked, “This new bundled solution will help government users to satisfy the latest security mandates while providing additional value and utility through the streamlined management of their mobile apps for maximum efficiency and security, central to the innovation and evolution of the mobile application space and BYOD landscape.”
Excited about the partnership SPARC CEO Eric Bowman added: “Our innovative Knappsack platform is an ideal complement to Precise’s Tactivo product, to deepen its value and utility among users across the U.S. federal government.”
