Acuant has found another customer for its biometric identity verification technology. Screenlyy has specifically integrated the company’s AssureID and FaceID solutions into its own ID Verification Solution to make it easier for property managers to vet prospective renters.
The Screenlyy app was created to allow managers to screen customers before accepting a reservation, and is targeted primarily at corporate property owners and people running vacation rental properties. The goal is to reduce the liability associated with risky guests and ensure the safety of the local community.
Acuant’s services will speed up that process while removing friction for customers. The company’s solutions utilize face and document recognition to match a selfie to the image on a photo ID, with liveness detection to prevent spoofing and other forms of fraud. The Screenlyy offering will also cross-reference a user’s information with various databases to make sure there are no other red flags. The entire process can be carried out online, and allows managers to make quicker and more informed decisions when renting out a property.
“Our partnership worked smoothly from the start,” said Screenlyy Founder Brett Wise. “Acuant worked closely with us to get a thorough understanding of our business goals and requirements and made sure we were provided with the products that have allowed us to achieve our business objectives.”
“We are excited to continue the journey with Screenlyy to ensure that they provide a safe and trusted community in the hospitality space,” added Acuant President and CEO Yossi Zekri.
Acuant’s FaceID solution achieved iBeta Level 2 certification after completing the Presentation Attack Detection test in October. The company has since joined the Digital ID & Authentication Council of Canada, and received provisional FedRAMP approval to provide cloud services to government agencies. TRAXX and InfoComply are some of the other clients that have turned to Acuant for identity verification services in the past few months.
