Protectt.ai, an AI-driven mobile app security platform, has secured ₹76 crore (approximately $8.7 million) in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The investment will support the company’s technology enhancement, global expansion, and talent acquisition initiatives amid growing concerns about mobile security threats and regulatory compliance requirements.
The funding will strengthen Protectt.ai’s AI-driven mobile app security platform, which analyzes metadata from millions of devices to predict and prevent cyber threats. The approach follows recent CISA guidelines on mobile security, which emphasize the importance of comprehensive threat detection and prevention systems. The company plans to accelerate product innovation and enhance customer experience while developing new AI security solutions.
The capital injection will facilitate Protectt.ai’s expansion into key global markets, including the United States, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. The expansion comes at a time when the mobile identity API market is projected to reach $22 billion by 2029, indicating significant growth opportunities in the mobile security sector.
Protectt.ai’s mobile app XDR (Extended Detection and Response) Platform currently monitors over 300 million smartphones, processing approximately 2 billion mobile app sessions monthly. The platform serves as a compliance hub for mobile app owners, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements from authorities such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The compliance role is particularly significant given India’s recent implementation of stricter security measures for mobile financial services.
The platform claims to prevent 200 million cyber threats and fraud events monthly while monitoring security configurations and threat events in real-time to enable seamless audits and regulatory compliance. The capability becomes increasingly important as mobile credentials, biometrics, and AI continue to reshape security and identity management across the global digital landscape.
