“We designed the new app following the latest security protocols so our clients can be assured that their information is completely secure.”- Randy Bishop, COO, Surgical Notes
A major medical transcription solution now supports biometric authentication.
Called SNChart, it’s a mobile app produced by Surgical Notes, a provider of revenue cycle, transcription, and coding solutions for the ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals. Newly updated, the app now supports eSignatures and biometric login, and is available across iOS and Android devices.
In a statement announcing the upgraded app, Surgical Notes COO Randy Bishop called SNChart “a completely re-tooled application” that sports innovative and user-friendly features. But he also stressed the security of the app, asserting, “We designed the new app following the latest security protocols so our clients can be assured that their information is completely secure.”
The app offers the latest example of the proliferation of biometric authentication technology across the mobile device ecosystem, with fingerprint sensors now a commonplace feature across smartphones from Apple, Samsung, and many others. The security advantages of this technology are becoming increasingly obvious to various third party app makers, with Surgical Notes offering the latest example.
