Synaptics will be showcasing its human interface portfolio at next week’s Computex conference in Taiwan. Highlights will include the company’s Smart Edge AI and multiple biometric fingerprint sensors built for a range of different PCs. The company will also bring numerous audio devices, including smart home devices with far-field voice recognition and headsets with noise cancellation technology.
“We are thrilled to be able to demonstrate our cutting-edge solutions at Computex,” said Synaptics SVP Saleel Awsare. “We have a robust roadmap of compelling products and ecosystem partners and are excited about the opportunity to meet with them at this event.”
The Notebook PC demonstrations will feature Synaptics’ Clear ID solution and its System-on-Chip Match-in-Sensor tech, which was announced back in the summer of 2018. Meanwhile, the various audio and wearable devices – including the company’s head-mounted VR displays – reflect Synaptics’ growing interest in smart home and IoT technology following the opening of its new development facility in India.
Computex will run from May 28th to 31st at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei. The conference should give the company the opportunity to reorient itself after the recent departure of CEO Richard Bergman and lower than expected revenues on a disappointing Q3 fiscal report.
