TECH5 is trying to generate more interest in its T5-Digital ID solution. To that end, the company is launching a new pilot program that will allow organizations to move forward with rapid implementations of the digital ID offering.
At the moment, the rapid pilots are only being offered to organizations that are already a part of TECH5’s certified partner network. Those that do want to participate will have access to a partner onboarding program, through which TECH5 will offer knowledge and training to streamline (and optimize) the digital ID deployment process.
T5-Digital ID itself allows people to create and store a digital ID on a mobile device. That ID is linked to its owner through biometrics, which in turn allows third parties to verify the authenticity of those IDs, even in areas where there is no internet connection. TECH5 believes that the digital IDs will have utility in a range of different sectors, including healthcare, payments, and national identity programs.
“The pilot project proposal with a pre-packaged set of services and technology components will help our partners to get a quick understanding of how the technology works in operational conditions and establish real-world references that support our claims related to the seamless process of fast and accurate contactless biometric capture and identity verification, whatever the vertical market” said TECH5 Strategic Advisor Rob Haslam.
TECH5’s compression technology allows it to store digital IDs (with face and fingerprint templates and face images) in an efficient digital container that only takes up about 2KB of memory. The company will provide tech support for every stage of the deployment process, covering everything from concept all the way through to design and sales.
In doing so, TECH5 is hoping that the T5-Digital ID will help fuel its ongoing expansion. The company has already opened a new office in the UK, and plans to raise its international profile with additional offices in India, Australia, Portugal, and the United Arab Emirates.
