Watch out Siri, Google Assistant has arrived on the iPad. Last year Google Assistant became available to iPhones, and now users will be able to receive assistance with the same functions, except now with a bigger screen available in portrait and landscape mode.
The Google Assistant hits home with smart home users who can use the AI helper on their iPad to alter the lighting with a “dim the lights” command, cast from their iPad to TV, conduct video calls, and set reminders and alarms.

As the voice assistant market becomes more competitive, its become essential for providers to ensure apps are available on all platforms not just their own hardware, as to not limit the amount of users willing or able to utilize their assistant. Amazon has followed suit as well, with allowing users to make phone calls, video call, and send messages from an iPad as well as an Android or a Fire tablet to an Alexa-enabled Echo devices.
