Biometric identity management solutions provider ImageWare has inked a major new licensing deal with CDW, an IT solutions integrator. The agreement will allow CDW to provide its clients with ImageWare’s IWS CloudID and GoVerifyID platforms.
IWS CloudID is designed as a customizable server-based software platform to support cloud identity management systems. GoVerifyID, meanwhile, is a mobile app designed to enable plug-and-play out-of-band biometric authentication on users’ smartphones. Its integration into the AirWatch EMM platform was recently showcased at the AirWatch Connect 2015 event.
In a statement, ImageWare CEO Jim Miller called CDW “a leading provider of integrated, critical IT solutions” and pointed the breadth of its “large, diversified customer base consisting of private businesses, government entities, educational institutions, and healthcare companies.” As such, the deal represents “another significant step in rolling out our multi-modal biometric identity management products to the commercial market,” he said. Given recent upward trends in ImageWare’s business operations, the CDW deal could provide an added boost in Q4 and beyond.
