Mobile ID World at MWC, Day 2: The Exhibition Gallery

Day two of Mobile World Congress is now behind us and it was once again a day of big mobile biometrics news and authentication headlines. Fingerprint sensor innovation hogged the spotlight, with FPC specifically announcing a significant number of smartphone integrations—one of which counts as a world-first—and also unveiling its new FPC SenseTouch feature.

Mobile ID World hit the exhibition floor on Tuesday, catching up with David Pollington, Head of Applications & Services for GSMA for an interview, and checking out some state of the art technology from leading vendors in the mobile space. Here are some highlights from our time on the floor today in Barcelona:

Qualcomm made biometrics headlines on Monday, announcing that its new Snapdragon processor supports EyeLock iris recognition.
