Veridium Announces Major New Features For 4 Fingers TouchlessID

November 21, 2017

“The new features arrive with the one-year anniversary of Veridium’s flagship solution, and the company says it’s now looking to roll out 4 Fingers TouchlessID worldwide.”

Veridium has announced two major new features of its 4 Fingers TouchlessID fingerprint scanning solution.

Veridium Announces Major New Features For 4 Fingers TouchlessID One is a new capability of exporting fingerprint scans for matching against those taken on traditional scanners. In other words, fingerprints captured through a mobile camera – with 4 Fingers TouchlessID capable of simultaneously capturing four in a single snap – can be matched against those held in government databases, a potentially important feature for deployments involving background checks and criminal investigations.

The other big new feature is a liveness detection capability. In its announcement of the upgrades, Veridium asserted that it “meets the NIST Digital Identity Guidelines”, ensuring that it can counter most spoofing efforts.

The new features arrive with the one-year anniversary of Veridium’s flagship solution, and the company says it’s now looking to roll out 4 Fingers TouchlessID worldwide. Veridium says it is also participating in a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement aimed at developing a testing standard for touchless fingerprint recognition technologies, which could help to further promote its solution down the line.
