“Users can also load their own terminology into the system, enabling support for complex technical language where necessary.”
Philips spinoff Speech Processing Solutions has announced a new subscription package of its Philips SpeechLive technology allowing for more convenient speech-to-text transcription for users.
Philips SpeechLive is a professional use, cloud-based transcription system, converting natural speech to text. It leverages both Philips’ SpeechExec Pro 10.2 software and technology from Nuance’s Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition platform, and supports the Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish languages.
Its latest version, the Unlimited Advanced Business Package, allows users to upload their dictations directly from a smartphone to the Philips SpeechLive cloud system, which can in turn send back the transcribed recording almost immediately. Users can also load their own terminology into the system, enabling support for complex technical language where necessary.
And where that measure fails, a Transcription Service maintained by trained professionals is available, with ten free transcription minutes available with each SpeechLive subscription. That’s where the state of speech recognition has now brought us: Humans are the backup option.
