We are just over a week away from CARTES America 2014, to be held in Las Vegas from May 13 through 15. As such, Comexposium, the organizers of all global CARTES events announced today the finalists for the new American iteration of the much lauded SESAMES Awards.
The SESAMES are now in their 19th year as an annual celebration of excellence in security. Held every year in France, and also now having an Asian equivalent (as well as this new American version), the awards recognize technology innovation for smart cards, digital security, identification, secure transactions and contactless technology in the event’s respective market.
There are nine finalists spread across three categories: Emerging Payments, Card Manufacturing and Identification. The breakdown is as follows:
Emerging Payments

Card Manufacturing

- Brigham Scully Public Relations for Zwipe Biometric Card
- DigitalPersona, Inc. for DigitalPersona Altus
- GOTrust Technology Inc. for SDencrypter Lite.
