Gemalto has announced an upgraded version of its LinqUs On-Demand Connectivity Platform, with the offering now fully compliant with the GSMA Consumer Remote SIM Provisioning Specification.
The platform is designed to enable easy, simple connectivity for eSIM devices, and to facilitate remote eSIM management. That could prove particularly useful in the emerging Internet of Things as a wide range of devices go online and require on-the-fly eSIM administration.
In a statement announcing the upgraded platform, Gemalto explained that it’s designed to ensure that “choosing a subscription package and connecting to the network becomes as easy as turning on the device.” Gemalto On-Demand Connectivity VP Benoit Jouffrey asserted, “our On-Demand Connectivity Platform will help sustain dynamic growth in the market.”
Gemalto was recognized by Juniper Research as a major player in the eSIM market in a report issued earlier this autumn, with the market research firm lauding “Gemalto’s advanced eSIM offer and remote provisioning capability.”
