HID Global has won the 2017 SSI Security Solutions Award for its deployment of its HID FARGO Connect solution at Kent State University, the company has announced.
The solution allows school administrators to issue student ID cards through the use of an iPad. They need only to use the tablet’s camera to snap a photo of a given student, and from there can use the device to set up the student’s ID card, which can then be printed immediately.
Security Sales and Integrator Magazine’s award is, of course, shared with Kent State University; and in a statement announcing the award win, KSU Office Systems Coordinator for Flashcard Operations Michael O’Karma commented, “At Kent State, we are committed to providing excellent student experiences, and new cloud-based solutions from a trusted identity technology leader like HID Global helps us to do exactly that.”
For HID Global, meanwhile, it’s one of multiple accolades the company has received this year, with another recent example being Insight Success’s designation of HID Global as one of ‘The 20 Most Valuable Brands’ of 2017.
