Oberthur Technologies is teaming up with Sierra Wireless to show off security solutions for Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) networks at next week’s Mobile World Congress event.
The company will show off its rugged-design SIM cards in Sierra Wireless M2M cellular modules. The demonstrations will highlight the solutions’ compatibility with 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) standards like NB-IoT, LTE-M, and EC-GSM-IoT.
In a statement announcing the demonstration, OT suggested its SIM cards have applications in the LPWA network devices designed to “operate over a long range, in remote locations, with lower power and at low cost.”
The companies will demonstrate their solutions from OT’s booth in Hall 6 of Mobile World Congress, which will take place from February 27 to March 2 in Barcelona.
