TrulyHandsfree has already shipped in over a billion products, according to Sensory.
Smartglasses developer Vuzix has teamed up with Sensory Inc. to bring its TrulyHandsfree voice recognition technology to its M300 wearable device.
Compatible with Android and iOS, Vuzix’s M300 smartglasses are designed for enterprise applications. They feature an HD camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, head-tracking, and GPS functionality.
Now, Sensory’s low-power voice command technology will provide a more effective and reliable user interface for users. Announcing the integration, Vuzix highlighted the potential applications in medicine, warehouses, and other work settings. Users can create custom commands relevant to their particular tasks, and the technology will be able to function even when offline.
The integration should offer a good showcase for Sensory’s technology, which the company says has now been shipped in over a billion products. If it proves to offer a useful user interface for enterprise applications enabled by Vuzix’s smartglasses technology, TrulyHandsfree could find some strong appeal in the emerging industrial Internet of Things.
