“With FIDO having launched a partner showcase and Yubico having launched another new U2F device, the YubiKey 4C, ahead of Mobile World Congress, the organizations both enjoyed a heightened profile at this week’s event in Barcelona.”
With major brands like Fujitsu having emphasized the FIDO credentials of their offerings at this year’s Mobile World Congress, there’s little doubt that strong U2F is more prominent and important in the mobile industry than ever. That being the case, Yubico took the opportunity to show off its YubiKey NEO solution during this week’s event.
The NEO is a $50 U2F key offering second-factor authentication via NFC. A user needs only to hold it near an Android device supporting NFC wireless communication in order to authenticate, and the device offers USB compatibility for laptops and computers. Showing it off from the FIDO Pavilion at MWC, Yubico highlighted its security and ease of use.
With FIDO having launched a partner showcase and Yubico having launched another new U2F device, the YubiKey 4C, ahead of Mobile World Congress, the organizations both enjoyed a heightened profile at this week’s event in Barcelona. For Yubico, the next stop is London, where it will showcase its solutions at Gartner Identity and Access Management Summit EMEA 2017 from March 6th to 7th.
