“ZTE highlighted the ‘security at your fingertips’ as a key feature in a statement announcing the Blade Spark, adding that it can store up to five fingerprints at a time.”
A new value-focused smartphone from ZTE is helping to extend the mobile biometrics revolution to more users.
Available for only $99.99, the ZTE Blade Spark comes with an embedded fingerprint sensor. That is by now a standard feature for premium and mid-range devices, but remains less common at lower price ranges, allowing the Blade Spark to offer a unique value proposition. ZTE highlighted the ‘security at your fingertips’ as a key feature in a statement announcing the Blade Spark, adding that it can store up to five fingerprints at a time.
The device’s arrival helps to further push the mobile market toward biometric support from virtually all devices shipped, which some analysts expect to become a reality within the next few years.
Other features of the new smartphone include a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5.5″ HD display, and Dolby Audio support. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1.
