Jumio has picked up one more award to put on its increasingly crowded mantle. The company’s identity verification platform has been named the Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year at the 2019 SBC Awards.
The accolade wraps up a stellar 2019 awards campaign that began with a BIG Innovation Award in February and continued all the way through December with a Gold Medal at the Best in Biz Awards. The company has also grabbed several Cyber Defense Awards and a Payments Award in the past few months alone.
The SBC Awards, meanwhile, were set up to recognize top achievements in the gaming industry, where Jumio is one of the top international providers of Know Your Customer (KYC) technology. The company’s identity verification solutions are currently being used by nine of the largest ten gaming operators, and have been increasingly popular with online gaming platforms like Casumo.
“This Award speaks to our continuing commitment to help gaming and betting sites verify player age, improve sign-up rates and beat cybercriminals with easy KYC,” said Jumio EMEA Sales VP Simon Winchester. “The biggest testament to our identity solutions is the number of top gaming operators that recommend us to others year after year.”
Jumio’s identity verification tech utilizes document and facial recognition to speed up the mobile onboarding process for new customers. The solution compares a selfie to the picture on a photo ID to ensure that each customer is indeed the person they claim to be, and is old enough to gamble legally in the relevant jurisdiction and their chosen gaming establishment.
Jumio’s tech allows gaming operators to meet the UK Gambling Commission’s strict requirements for online age and identity verification. The online gaming platform Novibet became one of Jumio’s most recent clients when it deployed the company’s identity verification technology earlier this year.
