Nominees run the gamut of the mobile tech world, from Huawei’s 5G connectivity technology to Samsung’s Bixby AI assistant to the Nintendo Switch.
The nominees for this year’s GLOMO Awards have been announced.
They’re the signature awards of the annual Mobile World Congress, and are meant to celebrate the most innovative and impactful technological solutions showcased at the event. Nominees span a range of categories including “Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough”, “Best Wearable Mobile Technology”, “The Green Mobile Award”, and many others. Nominees also run the gamut of the mobile tech world, from Huawei’s 5G connectivity technology to Samsung’s Bixby AI assistant to the Nintendo Switch.
In a statement announcing the nominations, GSMA Chief Marketing Officer Michael O’Hara said, “As always, the calibre of entries is extremely high, so to be shortlisted for the GLOMOs today is quite an achievement in itself.” Incidentally, FindBiometrics Managing Editor Peter Counter returns for the third consecutive year as a GLOMO judge, while CCS Insight CEO Shaun Collins has taken the helm as Chair of Judges for this year through 2o20.
The full list of GLOMO nominees can be found on the GSMA’s website, and the winners will be presented with their awards through the week of MWC 2018, which runs from February 26th to March 1st in Barcelona.
