IPification has deepened its relationship with MekongNet. The two companies first joined forces in 2021, and MekongNet will now be offering IPification’s entire portfolio of identity verification solutions to its clients in Cambodia.
The arrangement will further strengthen IPification’s position in the Cambodian market, and help boost adoption rates for the company’s phone verification service in the country. MekongNet is one of Cambodia’s leading Internet Service Providers, while IPification offers coverage for 98 percent of the country’s mobile market through partnerships with the mobile operators Metfone and Smart Axiata.
IPification’s solution analyzes addresses, phone numbers, and device information to allow people to verify their identities with only a single click on their mobile phone. The company also offers SIM swap and device change detection utilities to guard against fraud, and supports login via QR code. MekongNet itself will make those tools available to its client through its own Mobile Data Authentication service. Those who are interested in doing so can combine Mobile Data Authentication with MekongNet’s SMS verification service in a single billing account.
MekongNet has already started developing APIs and SDKs to support customized deployments of its authentication suite. Those APIs and SDKs come with enterprise-level monitoring and reporting tools.
“MekongNet’s SMS services has always been the leader in security, protecting both our clients using our services and their customers receiving the SMS content,” said MekongNet Value Added Services head Albert Lee. “IPification’s platform allows us to further enhance our focus on security by providing the newest innovation in phone number verification.”
“MekongNet has a huge presence in Cambodia, and I am happy that together we can enable top-notch security in the enterprise landscape in the country,” added IPification CEO Stefan Kostic.
The news comes only days after IPification launched a new authentication service that allows people to verify their identities through Instant Messenger channels. The company extended its reach to Switzerland and the UK in 2021.
