The Connells Group is expanding the scope of its e-signature arrangement with Yoti. The Group is the largest estate and property services provider in the United Kingdom, and first partnered with Yoti in April of 2020.
That initial arrangement allowed Connells customers to use Yoti’s secure e-signature service to sign sales contracts electronically. The Group is now extending that option to its sales and renting business based on the success of the program. In that regard, the Group noted that its documents have been getting signed more quickly since it adopted Yoti, with a full two-thirds (67 percent) of the applicable contracts getting signed less than two hours after going out.
According to Yoti, its service is particularly appealing to a business like the Connells Group because it is able to consolidate e-signature and identity verification procedures. Customers can use the Yoti app to verify their identity documents in accordance with the industry’s Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, and can then send and sign official documents through the web to link their signature to their identity.
Connells customers can also use Yoti’s digital IDs as valid proof of identity. The company’s e-signature service is available through web and mobile channels.
“As the UK’s leading property group, Connells Group need scalability and reliability and Yoti delivers this with a modern and intuitive user experience backed by our robust identity technology,” said Yoti CEO Robin Tombs.
“Yoti will enhance our customer on-boarding processes, as well as improve efficiencies,” added Connells Group IT Solutions & Development Director Nigel Trevor. “We have been impressed with the product development on Yoti since our initial engagement and we look forward to extending our relationship for digital transformation across our business areas.”
The e-signature service will be offered across the Connells, Sequence, Sharman Quinney, Peter Alan, Rook Matthews Sayers, and Gascoigne Halman branches, all of which operate as part of the broader Connells Group. Yoti’s technology was previously used to facilitate the first blockchain-based home sale in the UK. More recently, ArtAML partnered with Yoti to prevent money laundering in high-value fine art sales.
Yoti’s digital identity app has also been used to help distribute COVID-19 immunity credentials.
