“…the Carat Pro takes things a step further by dynamically adjusting music based on the user’s speed and heart rate, offering a more fitting soundtrack to each of the various stages in a workout routine.”
Valencell’s PerformTek biometric technology is finding its way into more earphone devices. The company has announced that FIIL has integrated it into its new Carat Pro.
The earphones are designed for fitness tracking, offering real-time AI coaching in addition to music playback. Valencell’s technology is there to provide much the same function it did in devices like the Jabra Elite Sport earbuds: Tracking biometrics like VO₂ max and heart rate. But the Carat Pro takes things a step further by dynamically adjusting music based on the user’s speed and heart rate, offering a more fitting soundtrack to each of the various stages in a workout routine.
In a statement announcing the integration, FIIL President Wang Feng called PerformTek “the most accurate biometric technology in the world,” adding, “We are confident that it will exceed user expectations in form and function.”
Valencell has repeatedly emphasized the importance of this kind of licensing in its business activities, and will showcase the Carat Pro integration at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show, where the device will make its debut.
