The ET510 is Egis’s latest fingerprint sensor model, and in a statement announcing the integration the company asserted that it “offers significant performance benefits to OEMs and users alike.” Egis CEO Steve Ro added that the ET510’s design win “is a testament to its market leading performance.”

Egis smartphone sensors have previously been used in other mid-range Samsung devices including the Samsung Galaxy A5 and C7.
