Enacomm is bringing voice-based authentication to customers of Bank Independent, a financial services organization with 28 branches across northern Alabama.
The solution’s announcement arrives on the heels of a new report from a Frost & Sullivan analyst lauding the benefits of voice-based authentication security when deployed in appropriate contexts. For its part, Enacomm claims its Enacomm Voice Authentication (EVA) platform is more reliable than fingerprint scanning, offering “real-time member identification with a 99.99% success rate”, according to a statement announcing the Bank Independent deployment.
And, in fact, the solution for Bank Independent will extend beyond EVA’s voice biometrics, with Enacomm announcing that it’s being integrated with a new AI system designed to enable customers to access account information and perform transactions all through dialogue with the AI agent.
In a statement announcing the solution, Enacomm CEO Michael Boukadakis gestured to the new boom in artificial intelligence technology. “AI assisted banking is a natural extension of Enacomm’s intelligent self-service solution for Bank Independent, particularly as the popularity of Alexa, Cortana, Siri and Google Home is rapidly climbing,” he said.
Enacomm says it will deploy this system to Bank Independent “in early 2018”. Meanwhile, it’s demoing the technology at this week’s Jack (Henry) Annual Conference in Nashville, which runs from October 16th to 19th.
