The FIDO Alliance’s inaugural Authenticate conference is officially underway. The Virtual Expo Hall opened on November 9 with pre-session hours from 1-5pm PST, while the conference proper will kick off at 8:30am PST on November 10.
Each booth in the Virtual Expo Hall will offer an immersive 360-degree experience that was designed to simulate the feel of an in-person event. Guests will have the opportunity to view product demos, and to speak with executive representatives from the exhibitors to learn how they can integrate FIDO authentication technology into their own corporate infrastructure.
The full list of exhibiting sponsors includes perennial tech titans like Microsoft and Google, as well as identity, authentication, and cybersecurity specialists like Daon, Yubico, iProov, HID, Nok Nok Labs, Aware, HYPR, and RSA. Guests that register for the free event will be treated to keynote presentations and panel discussions in addition to the Expo Hall.
“The enthusiasm we’ve seen from our sponsors is a testament to their commitment to solving one of the industry’s most challenging security problems of our time,” said FIDO Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Shikiar. “We’re thrilled that we can deliver an interactive and engaging virtual platform for companies interested in transforming the user authentication process through their leading edge products, applications and services.”
Authenticate was originally intended to be an in-person event, and was scheduled to take place in June in Seattle. However, FIDO delayed the event due to COVID-19, and eventually decided to switch to a virtual format to allow Authenticate to proceed during the pandemic.
