“Our cloud service speeds and simplifies deployment with the broadest possible options for local and state governments, financial institutions and enterprises.” – Brad Jarvis, Vice President & Managing Director of Identity & Access Management Solutions, HID Global
HID Global is rolling out a new Credential Management Service that will make it easier for enterprise clients to issue and manage Public Key Infrastructure credentials. The cloud-based solution offers multifactor authentication, and can be used for access control both and on-site and remotely through the cloud.
The HID Credential Management Service was built to be flexible, issuing PKI certificates that are compatible with most operating systems and web browsers. The certificates can be verified through many different authenticators, including smart cards, USB tokens, and mobile apps.
“Regulatory compliance is driving greater need for high-assurance credentials, but certificate-based multi-factor authentication solutions have been difficult for smaller organizations to implement, or not flexible and comprehensive enough for larger ones,” said HID Global VP Brad Jarvis. “Our cloud service speeds and simplifies deployment with the broadest possible options for local and state governments, financial institutions and enterprises.”
The new service was built to serve as the foundation for zero trust security, with the ability to evolve as the technology and the regulatory environment continue to improve. It is available through a one-year subscription license that covers up to one million users, and comes with customer support and access to HID’s award-winning IdenTrust platform.
The Credential Management Service is one of several HID cloud security solutions to hit the market in the past year. The company launched the HID Authentication Service back in April, and previously released HID Origo to help organizations integrate mobile ID technology.
