HID Global is showcasing a range of smart card solutions at this week’s 2019 Smart Cards Expo in Delhi. The highlight is the new FARGO HDP6600 high definition smart card printer and encoder, which halves the amount of time it takes to print a new ID card for a user.
Other products on display include the FARGO Connect cloud card issuance platform and the OMNIKEY smart card reader. HID Global will also be demoing its DigitalPersona and Lumidigm fingerprint modules, the latter of which garnered considerable acclaim at ISC West in April and was previously integrated into the OMNIKEY solution.
HID Global is planning to use the Expo to bolster its presence in India heading into 2020.
“India is a very important emerging market for HID Global and events like Smart Cards Expo offer us the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest products,” said HID Global South Asia Sales Head Lalit Agarwal. “Through such platforms, we can tap into the various market opportunities and continue to expand.”
HID Global has been steadily developed its smart card portfolio over the years, recently revealing that its Crescendo cards are now FIDO2 compliant. It also released a new Credential Management Service back in June, emphasizing that the platform could be used with card-based authentication methods.
