HID Global is providing secure access control technology for Tower 1 at the Arcos Bosques complex in Mexico City. The complex is situated in the Bosques de las Lomas neighborhood, and consists of a total of six buildings.
Tower 1 is one of two skyscrapers, and plays host to a number of commercial tenants, including law firms, retail outlets, and media companies. All of the people working for those various companies will be able to access the building with the HID Mobile Access solution, which allows people to store a digital credential on their own personal mobile device.
Those who do not want to use a digital credential will still be able to swipe in using a more traditional smart card. HID’s readers are being installed at all 16 turnstiles leading into the building, and at the 32 elevators that employees need to take to reach the upper floors.
Logen is acting as the system integrator for the project, while Servicon is the management company responsible for monitoring the building. HID Mobile Access will allow Servicon to issue and revoke credentials remotely, and manage the entire system from a centralized dashboard. That dashboard will also allow the company to track everyone with access to the building.
“Accessing the building by simply presenting a mobile phone makes a lot of sense as we look for ways to eliminate touching things during the global pandemic,” said Servicon Project Manager Santiago Morett. “HID Mobile Access has given us touchless entry and safer building security, which is more important than ever for our tenants.”
“Building security extends not only to who has access but also to how individuals are able to enter a facility,” added HID Global SVP Harm Radstaak. “HID’s access control solutions provide the foundation for optimal oversight and control while also keeping people healthy and safe.”
HID Global has previously provided Mobile Access for Avalon, Mail.Ru, and the American School of Guatemala. The company recently partnered with BioConnect to add biometric authentication and wellness declarations to the mobile screening platform.
