“…it enables administrators to remotely manage mobile ID subscriptions on the fly, allowing them to easily issue and revoke credentials to employees.”
With the Intersec Dubai 2019 security solutions expo currently underway, HID Global has unveiled a new cloud-based platform aimed at helping organizations to integrate mobile ID technology into the access control infrastructure.
Called HID Origo, the platform offers developers a suite of APIs and Software Development Kits to set up HID’s mobile access technology. At its outset, it enables administrators to remotely manage mobile ID subscriptions on the fly, allowing them to easily issue and revoke credentials to employees. Those employees, meanwhile, can then access facilities using their smartphones as contactless key cards, tapping them to readers as they move through access points.
HID Origo also features a data analytics capability allowing for things like “remote reader configuration, predictive access control system maintenance and intent detection for more seamless and personalized workplace experiences,” according to a statement announcing the solution.
The solution is offered on a subscription-based billing model, potentially offering clients to better forecast their budgetary needs for access control. And HID says that while its mobile ID subscription management is its primary feature at launch, there are “additional services and features to be released throughout 2019 and beyond.”
Intersec Dubai 2019 runs from January 20th to 22nd, with HID Global showcasing its solutions from stand F42.
