Huawei has come back to the market with another new smartphone featuring Fingerprint Cards technology. The Huawei Mate 8 features an FPC1025 fingerprint sensor.
The new device comes hot on the heels of other recent integrations. Huawei’s Honor 5X smartphone, released at the end of October, also featured an FPC1025 sensor, as did the company’s Mate S smartphone, launched in September, and its MaiMang 4 device from this past summer. The repeated integrations help to bolster the credibility of FPC and its biometric technology, which is already highly popular among other OEMs.
A recent report named Huawei among the likes of Samsung and Apple as a smartphone OEM helping to push the fingerprint sensor market with its mobile device integrations. Some credit must also go, then, to FPC, since this company’s technology has been finding its way into so many smartphones over the last several months, helping to boost those devices’ technological appeal as biometric sensors become standard smartphone features, and its own profits.
