“With the vast and increasing numbers of companies looking to ID R&D for zero-effort, voice and multi-modal biometric authentication, combined with unique anti-spoofing protection, we needed to expand in size and location to continue the tremendous growth we experienced in 2018.” – Alexey Khitrov, CEO, ID R&D
New York-based ID R&D has expanded into Silicon Valley, opening a new office in Santa Clara. The new office will act as a hub for technology development and customer support.
In announcing the move, ID R&D CEO Alexey Khitrov framed it as a product of strong growth seen by the biometric authentication specialist. “With the vast and increasing numbers of companies looking to ID R&D for zero-effort, voice and multi-modal biometric authentication, combined with unique anti-spoofing protection, we needed to expand in size and location to continue the tremendous growth we experienced in 2018,” he said in an ID R&D statement.
The privately held company went on to highlight a number of growth markers over the past several months, including the appointment of a new VP of Sales and a Chief Product Officer, and the overall doubling of staff over the past year. ID R&D also asserted that in 2018 it had “more than doubled the number of sales contracts it signed as well as its strategic integrations”.
The growth suggests that ID R&D is an important player in the biometric authentication market, and poised for further growth as it solidifies its presence in Silicon Valley.
