IDEMIA will be on hand for this year’s Mobile World Congress and plans to showcase solutions across the mobile, cloud, automotive, and financial services sectors, the company has announced.
Among the highlights of its planned presence are digital solutions for the connected car, a Know Your Customer system for mobile onboarding, and its eSIM solutions for the remote management of connected device subscriptions. The company will also showcase its new smart card solutions including the F-Code, its fingerprint-scanning payment card, ahead of this year’s anticipated boom in this emerging market area.
Back on the mobile front, it looks like IDEMIA is also aiming to capitalize on excitement over mobile biometrics in the wake of Apple’s Face ID system and Samsung’s pioneering efforts with mobile iris recognition, with the company announcing that it will also showcase “3D Face & iris recognition for mobile phones”, according to a statement.
It’s a wide range of solutions, but this will be the first time that the company will appear at Mobile World Congress since it was formed via the merger of Oberthur Technologies and Safran Identity & Security last year. The company has been very busy since its conglomeration, and evidently has a lot to show for it.
