Jumio is back in the winner’s circle at the Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards. The company was recognized for its Jumio Go identity verification solution, which was named as a Gold winner at the 2020 iteration of the event.
The news extends Jumio’s impressive streak at the Golden Bridge Awards. In 2019, the Jumio Authentication platform grabbed Silver in the Authentication category. The year before that, Netverify took Bronze and Gold in the “Security Solution for Enterprise (Large) Innovations” and “Access Compliance and Risk Management Innovations” categories, respectively.
Jumio Go is a fully automated identity verification solution that debuted in October of 2019. It allows organizations to onboard new customers remotely without any human oversight during the registration process. In that regard, it stands apart from other Jumio products that use a hybrid approach that incorporates both AI and human review. Jumio Go uses document and facial recognition to compare a selfie to the image on a photo ID, with liveness detection to ensure that the user is indeed present when they take that selfie.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic shifts business online, enterprises can no longer rely on in-person identity verification,” said Jumio CEO Robert Prigge. “Receiving gold is validation for our efforts to keep user accounts secure and out of the hands of cybercriminals by stopping fraudulent account creation attempts.”
The news comes after Jumio reported record sales and traffic figures in the third quarter of the year. The company also won a 2020 IT World Award in September.
