Money20/20 organizers are bringing their ‘Rise Up’ empowerment program for women to the European conference.
Announced on International Women’s Day, the Rise Up program for Money20/20 Europe is being launched in collaboration with the European Women’s Payments Network (EWPN). Thirty women will be chosen to participate, giving them access to “bespoke content sessions and exclusive networking opportunities” during the Money20/20 Europe event, according to a statement from organizers. These networking opportunities will include one-on-one mentoring sessions and private meetings with keynote speakers.
All 30 participants will also get a one-year EWPN membership, with one individual to be selected to join the EWPN Executive Board.
“Recent figures show that while 46 percent of ‘professional’ roles in financial services are held by women, only 15 percent of those at the executive level are female,” organizers asserted in announcing the program. “Money20/20 aims to address this by giving women in the earlier stages of their careers the information, coaching and mentoring needed to propel them to senior roles.”
The program’s expansion comes after organizers announced the inaugural Rise Up program ahead of last year’s Money20/20 event in Las Vegas.
