“Smart cars will be a hot topic, as will AI assistants and chatbots, 5G connectivity, VR and AR, and more.”
Some big names are going to participate in the first-ever GSMA MWC Americas, organizers have revealed.
Among the keynote speakers lined up for the event are PayPal CEO Dan Schulman, Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri, and, of course, GSMA Director General Mats Granryd. But the track sessions will also see some participation from major brands, including talks by IBM Watson VP and CTO Rob High, Ericsson ConsumerLab head Rebecka Cedering Ångström, and even Coca-Cola Digital Innovation Global Group Director Greg Chambers.
And those track sessions are going to delve into some exciting areas of technological innovation, GSMA organizers have revealed. Smart cars will be a hot topic, as will AI assistants and chatbots, 5G connectivity, VR and AR, and more. Digital and identity security is likely to be a running theme, and may be of particular interest in the conference’s “Everything Policy” track, a two-day discussion that will feature “leading policymakers and industry experts focused on key wireless issues,” the GSMA said in a statement.
Mobile World Congress is scheduled to take place in San Francisco from September 12th to 14th.
