Onfido is now providing secure customer onboarding for Games24x7. The latter operates one of the biggest online gaming platforms in India, and is already using Onfido to onboard an average of 100,000 new players on a monthly basis.
The Onfido solution leverages a combination of face and document recognition. New 24×7 players are first asked to take a photo of an official government ID. Onfido confirms that the document is authentic, and then uses facial biometrics to match the image on the ID to a selfie of the user. The solution allows Games24x7 to comply with the latest Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, and ensures that everyone signing up for the gaming platform is in fact old enough to do so. The platform also makes Games24x7’s platform more accessible, insofar as it allows new players to sign up and start playing in virtually any location.

Games24x7 is not Onfido’s first foray into the gaming sector. The company has previously provided onboarding services for Soft2Bet’s casino and sports book platform, and it has encouraged German gaming operators to embrace its digital age verification tech. Onfido has also been making inroads in the Indian market after delivering onboarding technology for the Indian dating site Jeevansathi.
