Safran Identity & Security is sponsoring this year’s Sierra Wireless Innovation Summit, and CEO Anne Bouverot will deliver a keynote address at a plenary session, the company has announced.
The theme of this year’s summit is “Let’s build i(o)t”, and accordingly, Bouverot’s talk is entitled “Security in IoT”. It’s an area in which Safran can demonstrate considerable and growing expertise, particularly with respect to its MorphoFlex solution for remote SIM provisioning, an aspect of Internet of Things connectivity that is critical for security. And Sierra Wireless Innovation Summit attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about this issue as Safran Identity & Security representatives will offer live demos of MorphoFlex eSIM provisioning at the event.
The event sponsorship and the MorphoFlex promotion are the product of a rapid shift into the mobile sector that has been underway since the latter months of last year, with Safran having quickly grasped the overlap between the mobile and IoT worlds, as evidenced by its sponsorship of the “Telecom Council of Silicon Valley’s IoT Forum: Mobile Device Mayhem (MDM)” event this past February. Now, with the Sierra Wireless Innovation Summit, the company has an opportunity to further establish itself as a key solutions provider in IoT secure connectivity—an opportunity that could prove particularly valuable in the wake of a major corporate rebrand.
