“The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which distinguishes it from some of the other models in the Galaxy A series…”
Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy A smartphone, sharing the specifications for the new Galaxy A10s. The new smartphone includes a 4,000mAh battery, a 6.2-inch Infinity-V Display, and a dual camera with depth detection and facial recognition capabilities.
The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which distinguishes it from some of the other models in the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A50 and A70 include an in-display fingerprint sensor, although it’s worth noting that many users have had issues with that particular feature. Samsung had to release scanner updates for the A50 and A70 – as well as the flagship S10 – after the phones were launched earlier this year.
The dedicated fingerprint sensor in the Galaxy A10s takes up more real estate and isn’t quite as slick as the in-display alternative, but users may not mind if the scanner is more reliable. Samsung brought the rest of the Galaxy A series to Canada earlier this summer, but it’s not yet clear when or where the Galaxy A10s will make its retail debut.
The Galaxy A10s will be available in blue, red, and green in addition to the usual black.
