“It’s the product of an agreement with China-based integrated circuit specialist Silead, which Precise Biometrics partnered with earlier this year.”
Precise Biometrics‘ flagship mobile software has found its way into another new smartphone, the company has announced.
In a statement, Precise Biometrics declined to name the new device or its maker, but indicated that the new integration of Precise BioMatch Mobile would start generating licensing revenue in Q4 of 2015. Precise Biometrics CEO Håkan Persson also suggested that the integration is with a new OEM, commenting, “We are pleased that yet another vendor has chosen Precise BioMatch Mobile.”
It’s the product of an agreement with China-based integrated circuit specialist Silead, which Precise Biometrics partnered with earlier this year. Silead has been cited as a major player in the IC field, and so it’s quite possible that its technology has been selected by a prominent vendor.
The integration should further cement Precise Biometrics’ position as a leading supplier of biometric fingerprint algorithm software, which it has earned in large part through its partnership with sensor maker Fingerprint Cards (FPC).
