“Precise Biometrics also noted that the integration comes via Silead, a China-based IC specialist with which the company entered into a partnership about two years ago, in the spring of 2015.”
Precise Biometrics technology is being used in another new smartphone.
Announcing the integration in a statement, Precise Biometrics declined to name the new device in which its Precise BioMatch Mobile biometric algorithm software is featured, but indicated that the vendor is based in China. Precise Biometrics also noted that the integration comes via Silead, a China-based IC specialist with which the company entered into a partnership about two years ago, in the spring of 2015.
News of the integration comes soon after that of another Silead-facilitated integration announced in the middle of last month, suggesting that the partnership is starting to pay dividends for Precise Biometrics. It also offers further validation of Precise Biometrics’ strategy of expanding its roster of hardware partners in a bid to adapt to the increasing saturation in the mobile biometrics market.
Precise Biometrics says the new integration will begin generating royalty revenues in Q2 of this year.
