VSBLTY is teaming up with Intel to show consumers what the retail experience might look like in the future. The collaboration specifically focuses on supermarkets and convenience stores, though it has implications for any segment that wants to take advantage of the latest innovations in big data.
In that regard, VSBLTY is specifically releasing its new Store as a Medium program through a Store as a Medium app run by Intel and The Store-WPP. The app is a free download available for iOS and Android devices, and exists as a metaverse project that highlights some of the ways that retailers can use modern technology to build more meaningful relationships with their customers. They can also gather data from their customers to learn more about their target market, and then use that information to make strategy changes that will increase sales and make their operations more efficient.
The launch of the Store as a Medium app will coincide with the release of a white paper of the same name at the National Retail Federation Conference. The white paper argues that retailers should be moving to capitalize on emerging retail network opportunities, a topic that will be discussed in greater detail during a roundtable discussion on February 10. The panel will feature contributors to the white paper, with representatives from The Store-WPP, VSBLTY and Intel joining colleagues from WestRock, Lenovo, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, amongst several others.
“We have been working worldwide with joint venture partners uniquely qualified to play a role in helping transform and monetize the Store as a Medium with retailers and brands,” said VSBLTY CEO Jay Hutton. “The SaaM is where the internet of things meets media advertising, machine learning and big data analytics. Even ‘Mom & Pop’ stores can profit from SaaM.”
VSBLTY has previously provided smart retail and analytic technology for convenience stores in Mexico and South Africa. The company also formed a strategic partnership with UST Global in 2020 to extend its reach with international retailers.
